Established in 2006 OptionSlam.com has been providing traders with a unique set of tools and data to assist with critical decisions regarding stock and options trading.

Our primary focus is on stocks as they approach their earnings release date including price reactions to the earnings event.

Following is a brief description of a few of our unique data tracking models and services.

• Earnings Volatility Rating (EVR): We monitor the volatility of the underlying equity during the one trading day after each earnings event. Based on our proprietary formula we assign each stock in our database an EVR which identifies for the trader just how sensitive his stock is to its own earnings event. Read here for more on EVR.
• Implied Move (IM) Calculations: Up to three metrics of IM data are supplied based on market generated information. Armed with IM data the trader is well equipped to choose appropriate strikes for a wide variety of earnings event option strategies.
• Median and Mean Calculations: Individually customizable historical price moves are available in both absolute and raw calculation forms allowing the trader to scrutinize pure volatility or directional edge.
• We provide the most complete historical data set of underlying stock behavior both pre and post earnings events. Subscribers have access to a powerful and unique stock screener providing the opportunity to create custom watch lists complete with a variety of personalized email alerts.

Our Team

Simon Lee is the original founder of OptionSlam.com in 2006. With over twenty years of web development experience he is a specialist in statistics and data analysis. Simon leads our IT and program development teams.

Mark Ledermann joined the OptionSlam.com team in 2009 as executive officer. Marko is a professional trader and a well-respected educator in the options arena. Marko provides leadership and guidance of OptionSlam.com project developments.
